Here are ten ideas you can use to make money from home.

  1. The first one is teaching something to someone. If you have a skill you can teach others, then you can go on line and find forums, social media, looking for the people who are looking to be taught your skill. Start by offering to solve simple issues that relate to that subject, you know, like me with my chefing experience, if I was looking at a cooking forum and someone asked “what's a good way to fry vegetables without them being left too oily?” I know that having hot oil is the most important part, as well as coating the vegetables in flour before frying, using kitchen cloths to drain the excess oil and serving it as soon as possible all help to stop them being to oily, plus using vegetables with low water content.
I get a thanks, people start to ask for more advice, which I can then say”look I like helping out but it's takes up my time, I would be happy to help any one who would like to learn more about this by offering a class through skype or google hangout giving advice or even making something together. You will get some people over time who will be more than happy to have the personal training service you provide. You can go on to google hangout to find out how to set up the service and get paid. The important part is to start by helping out, building trust, but within days you could have people paying you for your knowledge.

  2. Virtual assistance, which is organising for small or larger business, with owners too busy to organise for themselves. So you would be taking bookings, making schedules, posting to social media, dealing with complaints, customer support, writing emails, and many other tasks that small business owners and large businesses simply do not have the time to do. There are many companies on line looking for V.A s
  3. Organise a car boot sale in your area, rent a school, church, sports field or a company car park when its not in use, charge people to sell from their cars. You make posters to advertise the event and post them in the area with your charges for cars. You are proving the platform for sellers and buyers to trade while getting paid for it.

  4. A dog walking service,Yes there are people in your area willing to pay you to walk their dogs for them, while they are at work, holiday, away for a day, gone to an event where no dogs are allowed, and some cases some people are just not in the mood to walk the dog, you can also offer a grooming service for dogs and other animals.

  5. School run service, taking children to school and collecting them at the end of school, keeping them until their parents comes to collect them.
  6. In home carer service for elderly people who don't want to give up on their independence yet, helping them to shop, clean, simple home maintenance, someone to talk to. This, as you know is a growing area, with people living longer.
  7. If you have a garage you can offer to use it for garage sale for your neighbours things they wish to get rid off, and then split the proceeds with them.
  8. Ironing service, clothes alteration service, yes I would pay you to iron for me, Hate it !. So do lots of other people. And altering garments that are too tight, loose or needs mending instead of buying a new one.

  9. Doing peoples hair in their home. Many people have their hair done for them in their homes for convenience, due to working late, early starts, special occasions. So if you can do hair. It's the same for nails.
  10. And then there is gardening, someone is always willing to pay someone else to do theirs, or just trimming and tidying.
The ideas can all be started from home quite quickly with a little advertising. Gumtree. com, and other free online sites, plus small ads in local shops, church, community halls, work noticeboards, friends and family who might know someone who knows someone requiring the service you are offering.
